George II (1727-1760)
Silver Shilling
1727, young laureate bust left, rev. crowned cruciform shields, plumes in angles, (SCBC 3697, ESC 1694)
Toned and very fine, the reverse better, certified and graded by CGS as LCGS 50
Collecting hints:
Early George II shillings with the plumes reverse are hard to find, especially so in high grade. Collectors collecting by date or standard catalogue reference numbers will normally be satisfied with an example in very fine or better. Lower grade examples of the young bust tend to loose much portrait detail
