Nicholas Briot's coinage, second milled issue, 1638-9
Briot's late bust with plain falling lace collar, no scarf. R. Square-topped shield over long cross fourchee. mm. anchor, 5.80g (S.2859, Brooker 728 same dies, N. 2305). Only light reduction marks and with a very pleasing even tone, almost good VF, the reverse better.
