Variety f (Fox 2)
Facing bust with broad face and short hair, crown with spread side fleurs, drapery of two wedges, trefoil of pellets below, all within large quatrefoil of two lines, triple pellet stops, mm. cross pattée, 5.33g, (S.1379F, N.1006). Well struck on a full flan, evenly toned and with much ‘eye-appeal’, bold good very fine and one of the most attractive Edward I groats available to commerce
