Perkin Warbeck (c.1474 – 499) was a pretender to the English throne. Warbeck claimed to be Richard of Shrewsbury, Duke of York, who was the second son of Edward IV and one of the Princes in the Tower who were mysteriously murdered in 1483. Richard would have been the rightful claimant to the English throne, assuming is elder brother Edward V was dead.
