House of Tudor | Hammered Silver

Henry VIII (1509-1547)
Silver Groat
Third Coinage 1544-7, York mint
Bust 3 (1546). Rev. long cross fourchée over shield, spur from upper left of shield to inner circle, no mm, saltire stops, lombardic lettering, 2.34g, (S.2374; N.1848). A couple of striking cracks but with a good portrait for the issue, a rare bust.
Possibly a rose or similar before CIVITAS, or simply defective stops?
