Plantagenet | Hammered Silver

Edward II (1307-1327)
Silver Penny
Canterbury mint
Class 14, crowned facing bust, crown with tall central fleur, rev. long cross pattee, 1.38g, (SCBC 1466, N.1065). Some weakness of strike in the legends, strong portrait, toned and very fine or better
Collecting hints:
Edward II pennies fairly easy to obtain but are still sort in higher grades. Collectors should look for coins with a good portrait on a decent flan.
