House of Hanover | Milled Copper and Bronze

George III (1760-1820)
Copper Twopence
1797, Soho mint, 'cartwheel' type, laureate bust right, rev. Britannia seated, date below, (SCBC 3776, Peck 1037)
Attractively toned, a really good very fine to nearly extremely fine
Collecting hints:
'Cartwheel' twopences are very common in lower grades and scarcity increases as grade increases with mint state example with full lustre being extremely rare. Many minor varieties exist, but collectors should look for coins without edge knocks or unsightly marks
